Scrotal Pain

A 48year old male presents to your office with testicular pain. The pain has been present for several hours. He denies trauma to the area. On examination there is no scrotal edema and you do not appreciate any abnormal penile or scrotal lesions. The testicles are symmetric in size and shape. Elevation of the scrotum alleviates the patient’s pain.


What is the most likely cause of the patients’ pain?

  • Epididymitis
  • Testicular Torsion
